Fran Colby established Colby Design in 2000, and brings to it over 32 years of local, national, and international experience in the commercial interior design industry. The firm is registered as a Woman Business Enterprise with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services.

Colby Design understands the intricacies of historic preservation, and brings a thorough knowledge of historic design and materials to projects involving significant spaces. At the same time, each project incorporates modern standards of technology and the lasting applications of sustainable design and sustainable materials (called for in/appropriate to) today's environmentally conscious world.

Teamwork and collaboration are essential to successful design projects. Colby Design works with architectural firms on large projects and handles smaller projects on its own. In both scenarios the firm works closely client representatives or as the owner's agent to ensure responsive and well-managed design solutions.
